Join the CalvertHealth Certified Diabetes Care and Education team in these diabetes self-management education and support offerings.

• FREE Diabetes Wellness Workshop
  Meets virtually the 2nd Thursday of each month from 7-8 p.m. Register online.
• Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support
  A certified program by the American Diabetes Association. This three-part class is offered in person or through telehealth and is taught by certified and licensed educators that are Registered Dieticians and Registered Nurses. Learn about healthy eating choices, checking blood sugar levels, fitness, how diabetes affects your body, and more. Classes are available day and evening.
• General Diabetes and Gestational Diabetes
  A one-on-one appointment with certified and licensed diabetes educators that are Registered Dieticians and Registered Nurses. The educators can help you understand and create a plan to help you manage food, your blood glucose levels and much more. Primary care provider referral is required.
• Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
  MNT is a one-on-one appointment with a Registered Dietician. Learn to manage chronic disease such as heart disease, weight management, GI disturbances, and food allergies. Dietary recommendations may include meal planning, healthy eating choices, healthy weight goals and more. Appointments are available on Wednesdays and Fridays. Provider referral required.
• Advanced Diabetes Class
  A FREE virtual class for individuals with diabetes that want to advance their knowledge to improve diabetes outcomes. An in-depth course to become more empowered. No referral needed.
• Gestational Diabetes
  A FREE virtual class for pregnant women that have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and/or previously diagnosed and want to get pregnant again.
